![]() What is the true meaning? Well, it's in the title. It only makes sense when you put two and two together. Well its in a way saying no one is different. Now remember when Kiera and Kovu are standing between Simba and Zira and Kiera states that a wise king once told her that "We are one". Now if you take the fact that the "outsiders" are a shade or two darker than the pridelanders you'll understand that this movie specifically was a racist movie. It is what it is kind of thing, but every Disney fan knows that this song has much more of a deeper meaning to it. Based on the movie and the fact that Kiera said she doesn't want to be a Princess in Simba's eyes he's stating that this is life and you can't run from it. The meaning behind this song in my eyes can be many different things. ![]() ![]() I've listened to this song over and over again and it is by far my favorite song from the Lion King trilogy.
